Fave Memory - by Susan Long - A memory of what I would have considered the dream diet when I was a kid! Pizza, chicken nuggets dipped in honey, ICEE, pop, gumdrops, orange slice candies, caramel cubes, pixie sticks, kid cereal, kool aid, buttery popcorn and soft serve ice cream. I could have lived on this stuff! While it's not my preference these days... the thought of these foods take me back to special treats and celebrations of my childhood!
Created for the "Birthday Bash" challenge, this collection of birthday-suitable foods are all wishing someone the best birthday in the punniest way possible. If one pun does the job, why not many? Food is meant to be pun, er, fun and great to celebrate a special day, so go crazy and enjoy a birthday in the punniest fashion possible!
Here’s the iconic popcorn bucket bursting with freshly popped corn for a poppin’ good birthday bash...maybe you celebrate with a group of friends at the movies or have a popcorn party at home with lots of fun custom toppings. You can try different salts, melted chocolate, caramel, Parmesan cheese, mix in nuts and dried fruit and so much more...let your celebration begin!
My mother makes a lot of popcorn- for our family, friends. parties, movies, any chance she has, any request made to her. As her "creative sous chef" I'm allowed to add the flare when we make gift-batches. She cooks it on our stove in the same pot every time, the measurements and process are pure reflex, but I'm sure it's a basic process you can find anywhere. My mother is a compassionate, hard working role model, and this is one of the ways she tells friends and family "I Love You"
