The Stawamus Chief was my muse during the summer of 2023. It is one of the most popular rock climbing and bouldering mountains in Canada and is located in Squamish, British Columbia. My son and his friends were climbing these gigantic boulders while I sketched the landscape with acrylic markers. I found gold was a wonderful under layer that made the mossy covered forest glow.
