Important items to have for a takoyaki party:
- frozen / fresh octopus
- takoyaki pan / electric maker
- ingredients (Japanese mayo, scallions, katsuobushi, eggs, takoyaki flour mix, takoyaki sauce, dried seaweed, sesame seeds, whisk, mixing bowl)
- a serving plate
- take turns with your friends while flipping takoyaki balls, this is a social event
- make different versions with different fillings in each batch
- chat with friends
- serve with highball (ginger ale and Japanese whiskey)
