This was the inspiration behind this early summer scene from my backyard. I don’t know where the bees’ hive is, but over the past five years, I have transitioned 1.5 acres to a natural yard. The parts where lawn remain are full of clover and it is alway a buzz in early summer before the other flowers start their show—they are an important food source for those little buggers. This started as a piece about 5 ‘easy’ ways to help pollinators in your yard. This is where I started.
