This is the first in a series of 3 landscapes for "The Great Outdoors". Since drawing landscapes is a bit out of my comfort zone, I decided to focus on simple shapes, color and texture to create a scene from my imagination - picturing a place where I would love to be. Since we are in the middle of winter in New England, my drawing evolved into a summer setting with a garden and warm sunshine. I continued to create multiple landscapes since I discovered how much I enjoyed working in this style.
