The idea behind this recipe is to see food not only as something that gives us energy (and tastes good) but also as a source of vitamins, minerals and microelements that influence the way our body feels. Food, if consumed wisely, can be easily used instead of many drugs. Here is a recipe for a "cherry-banana-almond milk smoothie" - a great replacement for sleeping pills.
Good for vegans!
Polish Punch (kompot) is a traditional polish beverage we make whole year around. It can be made out of most of the fruits yet I find apples and pears to be the best combination. It's easy to make, cheap and healthy - a great replacement for the bottled juice. Served cold in summer is a great refreshment. Served warm in winter helps to break the ice.
You have no time?
And not a lot of money?
Go for some carrots,
They cheap, fast and YUMMY!
I LOVE carrots! They are in season almost all year long, they are cheap, super tasty and easy to prepare. Taste great raw, cooked and fried. Great for main dishes, soups, salads and deserts (carrot cake anybody?) They are rich in antioxidants, vitamin A and B (and many others!). I always have couple of carrots hidden in the fridge - they are lifesavers!
I draw here three easy to prepare carrot dishes but with carrots the list of delicious dishes never ends!
Watermelons are amazing summer fruits! You can use them for drinks, desserts and main dishes. They are refreshing, cheap and suuuuper tasty. In order to use as much of watermelon as possible use watermelons rind to make a delicious, sweet jam - it's easy to make, cheap and yummy! Great for toasts and deserts. Finger crossed summer is going to come soon - I can't wait to have a watermelon feast <3

Not all of the apples are good for baking - always check what type of apples in you country/region is best for baking!
It's a traditional polish recipe, everyone has it's own version of it. Grandmas pass their recipes to grandchildren. Pickled cucumbers - you can find them in almost every polish house - we eat them straight from the jar, add to the salads, put into sandwitches, we eat them when we drink vodka and the day after - they are fanstastic for hangover. They are cheap and easy to make.
