In the summertime, to keep us cool, my Mom always made us these treats. Graham crackers were good for the outer sandwiches, and so were chocolate chip cookies. Neapolitan ice cream was always a hit at our house. I loved pistachio! Any flavor really would hit the spot and keep us chill in the summer heat! 🍪🍧🍡
Wake up and smell the coffee! I made the background as a cute pattern first. Then turned it into a spread. I did this over a couple of days. What do you think? Sort of #unicorn coffee with the colors. I always like something sweet with my coffee because I don’t put sugar in it 🍬🍭☕️
Wake up and smell the decaf! I’ve found lovely hazelnut flavored decaf, so even though I forgo the caffeine, I still can enjoy the aroma of a freshly brewed cup. And as my own barista, I make my own drip coffee using an over-the-cup filter because everyone else is having regular in the morning. To each, their own!
I was literally getting hungry as I drew this, and since I am in need of new dishes to make for family dinners, this is a must-make for me now! Anybody else inspired to make moussaka? (P.S. I just made it and it was delicious! It will now be a staple in my rotation. Thanks, They Draw & Cook, for the inspiration to draw and cook this satisfying and tasty dish.)
Just a super easy, flour-free cookie recipe which just happens to be my favorite to make at a moment’s notice. I sometimes add a packet of oatmeal or a rounded tablespoon of ground flaxseed meal. The cookies come out of the oven soft but then get a little harder and remain easy to bite into and break in two. I like to store them in a cookie tin, but they don’t store for long. These go as fast as they are quick to make!
My birthday is coming up, and I am easy to please, because my happy meal can be picked up at our local supermarket. Publix in Florida has a great sushi case and a sushi chef right on site making all of my favs. Their bakery has the best cakes, too. I love strawberry shortcake, but a regular vanilla cake with frosting and sprinkles is absolutely fine by me. Just don’t forget the candle! (Since I usually do the cooking in the house, this is a “store-bought” recipe for my night off 😋 that my sweetheart can easily whip up.)
The best time for me to make this toast is NOW - because that’s when we have these edible flowers in our Florida garden! In a pinch, I can use purslane flowers and purple sorrel flowers, too. The flowers are arranged artfully over a smear of soft cheese, and bread fresh from our local supermarket seals the deal!
