Angelie Yap was born and raised in Livingston, New Jersey on Taylor ham and cheese sandwiches. Her love of art began with weekly library visits and with daily crayon doodles on scrap paper. She now spends (a little) less time with crayons and is pursuing a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Illustration with concentrations in Graphic Design and Book Arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
Yap loves exploring new ways of making images and works with a wide range of media. Her work focuses on incorporating traditional media into a digital world.

One of the dishes that reminds me of home is Lumpia Shanghai. It's a Chinese-Filipino fried spring roll that is often served at get-togethers. Ever since I was little, my mom and I would sit around the kitchen table and wrap them together.
