I have such fond memories of baking bread with my grandma when I was younger. She would always let me help mix the ingredients and knead the dough (that was my favorite part). The bread is delicious too, and I'm still excited when I discover a freshly baked loaf on her counter.

This recipe calls for sourdough starter, an alternative to using dry yeast in a recipe. My grandma inherited her starter, but it can be made fairly easily as well! However, it does take several days for a new batch to be ready to use.
