This mountainscape is for The Great Outdoors project with Uppercase Magazine!
I love mountains and I love hot air balloons, and so I imagined this serene and magical landscape that I would love to visit. I live in Asheville, North Carolina, surrounded by beautiful ancient mountains. These mountains I call home inspire me every day and certainly are a foundation in the ridge lines of this design. I chose colors intuitively, based on the feeling I was feeling while dreaming of this scene. I worked digitally with mixed media, layering lots and lots of textures that blended together cohesively.
