The Great Outdoors
I was born and raised in Rome. During the weekends I used to take long walks, with my parents, through the vast archeological area: colonies of cats had chosen the ancient ruins as their home. Sprawled on a Corinthian capital or curled up amidst the fragments of an ancient column, they looked to me as the guardian spirits of a lost era.
“City of eternal cats” is an urban landscape born from these childhood memories. By the way, some things luckily never change and cats still are today the real owners of the archeological parks in my hometown.
