As a youngster, I took life-drawing classes at the Art Students League in Manhattan. Class started promptly at 5:00; since school let out at 3:00, there was just enough time to grab a bite at the nearby cafeteria before class. My favorite item on the menu? Their date nut bread! (There were so many dates in the sandwich; I could hardly taste any bread!) That experience turned me into a lifetime lover of dates. This recipe is very simple with only two ingredients; the sweetness of the dates beautifully compliments the tartness of the goat cheese. Enjoy!
This is a raw and vegan recipe our family loves. Since we are not using dairy products, we have to invent new recipes for our new lifestyle. This is one, that is really great if you are longing for some chocolate, if it is cold outside and you want to hide beside the oven with a warm cup of cocoa, that still is raw food.
A quick and easy soup to warm our heart. My mama always make sweet beans soup since we were still kids. This is her recipe after adding more and more ingredients throughout the years. I asked her why adding so much in one pot, she says "add whatever beans you feel like eating and it will be yummy"
This is a recipe that I use all year round but that is especially fitting for the summer! A creamy smoothie that tastes like cake without any of the gluten, grain, and animal products!
Free of gluten, grains, dairy, and eggs.
This is a Super Food Entry since bananas are the superfood of my choice! And especially with summer coming up these are just a total winner! Base recipe is always 2 bananas (frozen in pieces) and the smallest dash of (plant) milk. Then just add the other superfood(s) you want, blend it up and there you have your soft serve. If you prefer scoops place it in the freezer for a bit to help it firm up ;)
This rich-but-zesty snack has no refined sugar - it's sweet enough to be dessert, but also a perfectly acceptable breakfast choice, if you're into that kind of thing (I know I am!). Pair with coffee or tea and some fresh fruit, or enjoy all by itself, straight out of the pan.

Your little monkeys will love this delicious banana smoothie, they'll never guess it's also healthy for them! The banana gives energy from the high potassium, and dates are high in calcium and phosphorus. The Greek yogurt contains probiotics, and has twice the protein of regular yogurt. Almond milk is low in fat, but high in energy, protein & fiber, and contains many beneficial minerals. The cinnamon contains both anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, while the chia seeds are a great detoxifier, and rich in Omega-3 fats, while also sustaining energy and keeps them feeling full for longer. An easy, yummy drink, perfect for a snack or breakfast!
