Bio:

Mariko Miyake is a writer and artist based in Hawaii. For sixteen years, she taught Creative Writing at a community college before realizing that she had more in common with the kindergarteners that she was tutoring than any of the adults. After taking her first art class in January 2017, she hasn’t looked back. She works mostly in watercolor illustration with a tender spot in her heart for picture books.
