I am Catalina Adelgoss, a Colombian living in Germany. Two years ago I packed my bags and moved overseas. While living in Colombia I used to teach illustration at one of the most prominent Universities in Medellin, simultaneously I had my own business consisting of personalised illustrations and events for children. This was incredibly rewarding and filled me up with joy since I was able to make children's wishes come true by designing, illustrating and managing production for 5 succesful years.
Now I want to dedicate myself to what I really love. I want to create illustrations for children and food. My experience is 100% focused on clients wishes and my unlimited passion for design and making new ideas come to life makes the difference.

When I arrived in Germany, I was surprised by the cookie tradition in December. Grandmothers and mothers enjoy making cookies with their children and grandchildren. It's a special occasion to gather the family together and prepare for Christmas.
Cookies of all shapes, with chocolate, jam, nines, chocolate chips or just plain sugar. Delicious!
I love to enjoy a picnic, on a sunny day, with sandwiches, fruits and a good wine with a cheese board . A bowl of fruit is not bad for a summer afternoon! And a dessert to end the evening is delicious!
All the little details are important when planning a picnic
I was inspired by my husband's grandmother, an excellent pastry chef who always goes into the woods on her electric bicycle, picking red fruits and preparing all kinds of desserts. Twice a year she sends me strawberry jams prepared by her and every visit to her house is full of delicious and traditional desserts. This strawberry season is delicious with her desserts!
One of the things I have liked most since I have been living in Germany are the local markets. I support the local markets, where fresh, organic products are sold and where you can enjoy a very pleasant time with your family.
"La Cazuela de Paisa" is traditional in the region where I was born in Medellin, Colombia. Made with red kidney beans it can be accompanied with avocado, "chicharron", ripe plantain, potato chips, hogao. The recipe has been passed down from generation to generation. A meal full of color and delicious ingredients typical of the Colombian Andean region.
