Indian cooking is known for its aromatic herbs and spices. If you go to any Indian kitchen, you’ll find a box of spices used for everyday cooking. Generally made of steel, this box contains small containers of like turmeric, red chilli, Mustard seeds, cumin and coriander powder and garam masala! And then there are whole variety of dried spices which give the Indian dishes their unique flavour. Some of them remind me of my grandmother who had her own blend of garam masala.
