The word 'Summer' always brings a smile on my face and reminds me of all the beautiful colors that look particularly brighter in this season. I came across this recipe of 'Rainbow Salad' on Instagram by Nandita Iyer, the author of 'The everyday healthy Vegetarian'. Rainbow Salad- The name was so apt, because this is exactly a big bowl of colors. Apart from being so nutritious, all the colors are extremely appealing to the eyes. When I saw the topic of Summer Salads, I immediately remembered Nandita's Salad. The salad is extremely customizable to what you have available in the kitchen and is super easy to make.
The second color in my version of the Rainbow Food Series, the Bodacious Blues!
*check out the first color group, the "Pretty Purples" on my page :D!
I've always loved the description of fantasy blue foods in books and in this time and age am ever so grateful that we've found a way to make this happen with organic natural colorings. What a time to be alive in the food world!
Who doesn't love spending hours drooling over beautiful delicious food on Instagram? This is a collection of some of my favorite pretty purple food from there. What with all the natural rainbow colored food hype, I just had to draw some of them! It was so fun exploring all the different shades of purple for this series.
Gluten-Free / Vegan - This is the best tasty treat on a hot Florida day, especially when the kids are around! This recipe was a blast to make with my mom as a kid. I remember picking the best mango off the tree in the backyard to save it for the popsicles that we would make later. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do, so gather up your favorite colored fruit and get to making!
For Edible flowers challenge
I illustrated all the edible flowers that came to my mind to create this little rainbow. I hope, in these difficult times, that it will also be seen as a sign of hope for the future. Greetings to all from Italy.
Beans Legacy, Beans Variety, Explosion about beans like an rainbow :)
I draw each bean with my pen then I scan them for create and compose my pattern. To finish, my husband make typography to organize the headband. It's really a creative duo , a super teamwork :)
FAVE MEMORY - One of my favourite food memories is eating sushi in a small Japanese restaurant in South West London when I used to live there. They had a best sushi (especially the rainbow rolls and eel nigiri!) and we ended up going there at least once a week to get our sushi fix!
