This "sweet porridge" is traditionally served in Armenia from New Year's Eve up to Christmas, which falls on January 6 in the Eastern tradition. Plan ahead, as it needs to thicken overnight.
I'm in love with this granola recipe because it turns one's kitchen into a sweet, herb-y aroma heaven. Adding a bit of rosemary/sage to the recipe lineup gives this chunky treat a little flavor depth and works great as a topping on just about everything (smoothies, yogurt, ice-cream, crumble). As always, be generous with the salt ;-)
Kolacky is a Polish cookie which my mom, sister, and I bake during the holidays. I wanted to convey a sense of warmth and lightheartedness in this recipe so the viewer could feel the mood in my mom's kitchen while we bake these delicious cookies!

It's very important how one serves easy to make desserts like these. Use some fancy glasses for the Milk Rice Pudding instead of a basic bowl. Add a lot of extras and garnishes. Make it a feast for the eyes as well for the tongue. Experiment with different fruits. This is just the base.
