My most favorite cake of all Russian pastries is the honey cake we call is Medovik. It's a moist soft delight packed with sweet aromatic flavor. There are tons of variations of this beauty, some use condensed milk others like to go a healthier route by substituting with sour cream. Overall you can't go wrong with a good holiday honey cake!
This is one of my childhood favorites. It takes me back to Christmas time at Grandma's house, and the wonderful smell of perogies cooking in the air. My grandma always made sure I got to have a taste before anyone else, and that's a memory I keep close to my heart. I hope you all will try it! I promise, it won't disappoint.
