Favourite Memory: Diwali is almost around the corner so I would like to share once of the recipes that my mother made during this festival. Ofcourse there where so many other dishes that were made around this time of the year but Rasmalai would always be me and my brothers favourite treat. During Diwali we all used to cook as a family, everyone had a task to do and then by the time we were done there was a pleasure in enjoying the food that we made (as kids we thought we made everything but of course that wasn’t true haha) we made so many kinds of desserts, snacks and food items it’s crazy to think how we pulled that.
This is the simple, go-to recipe I use anytime anyone in the family is down with a cough and cold. The turmeric milk helps control coughs and clears up the chest as well.
For this illustration, I wanted to depict the warmth and healing sensation one feels while drinking this milk. The color scheme and design I chose go with the same feeling. I hope you enjoy the illustration as well as the recipe!
The recipe I chose is the recipe of Thai Tea Latte, a traditional Thailandese tea to Matcha Latte. It is made by condensed milk with Thai tea - an oolong tea. I chose to illustrate this recipe because it reminds me of my recent trip.
I remember the hot and humidity of this summer, trying to search relief you can buy a lot of these teas in all the stall and markets.
The recipe is very simple, the only ingredients it needs are tea, condensed milk, sugar and ice.
