Although I have never been to the Mediterranean or have never eaten mediterranean dish but I came up with this recipe after the quarantine started and just named Mediterranean Salad and my family loves it! I always dream to travel there and we say we can travel to the Mediterranean during lunchtime using our imagination while eating this fresh summer salad. Looking at my family's smiles makes me so happy and thankful.
For this delish dish, we bought the herbs from our local farmers market. This year, the shopping experience at the market is different. All shoppers and vendors are required to wear masks. Shoppers can't touch the produce and must maintain 6' distance from one another. The first hour of shopping is restricted to the elderly population and those with health issues. Despite the experience, the produce tasted and looked good as usual.
A Gin and Tonic Cocktail made with a Juniper Syrup and Herbal Infused Tonic. My favorite cocktail is a Gin and Tonic, but when I was unable to drink anymore, I still wanted to enjoy this refreshing drink in all of it's botanical goodness. SO, my boyfriend and I set out to devise a combination of elements that would imitate a Gin and Tonic as accurately as we could. The conclusion is an herbal delight, fresh and pungent. It is sure to liven up tastebuds on a hot day, and can be enjoyed by anyone!
Fresh herbs will take the dish to the next level, livening it up with a hit of freshness before serving, or adding a delicious depth of flavour throughout cooking. And they're easy to grow whether you live in the country or city or only have a windowsill.
