Rosehip tea is a delicious floral blend that has been used as an herbal remedy for centuries. This sweet and tangy tea offers a unique blend of flavors that tickle the tastebuds.
It is not actually brewed from the floral petals of the rose plant, it still delivers a beautiful color when brewed and exquisite floral flavor.
You are invited to our Edible Flowers Garden Party, held in a fern strewn clearing in the woods. In anticipation of spring, all the animal friends are making their favorite flower dishes from their garden...nasturtium salad, artichokes, floral cookies, squash blossom pizza, lollies, cheeses, crostini with scrumptious toppings, pasta, elderflower nectar, blooming tea, and violet punch, to name a few. The friends are celebrating Jax and Brea's recent engagement with a 4 layer cake.
The Dance is in full swing, as Duke and Cora bears do a jig. The rabbits are getting a little carried away and must be careful to not knock over anything! Blaire cat isn't a dancer but loves to be in the middle of things.

My mother created the most magnificent Easter display on the dining room buffet every year complete with grass, eggs, and all. So, she was less than happy when, instead of referencing her buffet, I mentioned how much I used to love Easter eggs with little dioramas inside. Sorry, mom! I loved your buffet, too! But when I learned that tulip flowers are edible, I thought that they would be a perfect vehicle to house edible dioramas! Hint: Assemble each scene on a cracker topped with a cream cheese spread before carefully inserting the scene into the tulip. Enjoy!
I love this Indian-Mughlai Dessert that's most popular in the northern part of India. Although, there is another part of southern India that claims it's there's. Before it's even decided whose it is, we all enjoy the scrumptious & delectable taste of 'Shaahi' - meaning Royal, 'Tukda' - meaning a piece. It's covered some beautiful garnishings of edible silver called- 'Warq', rose petals, pistachios & almond silvers. This recipe was prepared best by my Grandfather who aced Mughlai cooking. A tribute to him & all the olden days Lucknowi cooks.
Here is my recipe of white deadnettle soup. I added some edible fowers : borage, chives and wide garlic. It is the perfect soup in these times as all these plants and flowers are very good for our organism and can reinforce our immune defense system. Painted by hand with watercolor, written in french :)
I get a veg box delivered most weeks. It started as a way of encouraging me to eat more veg and has become a creative outlet both in and out of the kitchen.
It forces me to use vegetables I probably wouldn't buy myself. I was never a huge fan of cauliflower unless it was smothered in cheese sauce. However it kept coming in the boxes, and would just loiter in the fridge... so I had to find a way of using it.
This curry is an adaptation of one from a Sainsbury's magazine. It's delicious, it uses a lot of cauliflower, it's simple and (bonus) it's vegan. It's brilliant for big parties because you can just make a huge pot of it, it's not overly spicy and avoids the most common allergens.
The 10 Steps or Less recipe series is something I'm working on part time, but this was the first one I made entirely on the iPad rather than doing the lineart by hand.
