Super Food Entry
I've illustrated a cheerful group of super food, that tell us with enthusiasm why they're so precious for our nutrition. They are very happy to give us so much health!
I've painted with watercolors and I make some details and text on Photoshop and InDesign.
“Super food entry” Burgers are delicious but even better if you cook them with super food ingredients like sweet potato, black beans and brown rice. You can then add tomato, lettuce or kale, avocado and your favourite sauce to make it full of flavour. As side you can bake some potato wedges to complete a healthy meal.
The Turgeon Brothers restaurants were famous in Buffalo, N.Y., in the 1970s. Among them were the Boardwalk Cafe, the Crouching Lion, the Sign of the Steer and the famous Roycroft Inn, restored now and revered nationwide as home of the Arts and Crafts movement. Buffalonians loved the restaurants for their magnificent Sunday brunch. This is the recipe for the great Turgeon Brothers cheesecake, passed down to me by the daughter-in-law of the chef who used to prepare it.
My grandmother, who I lovingly called Mimi, was a passionate cook! All of her meals were made from scratch, and boy was she one heck of a cook! I wanted to use one of her classic recipes as inspiration for my illustration, and to share her wonderful recipe with everyone!
One of the dishes that reminds me of home is Lumpia Shanghai. It's a Chinese-Filipino fried spring roll that is often served at get-togethers. Ever since I was little, my mom and I would sit around the kitchen table and wrap them together.
