During the summer, one of our favorite things to do is picnic on the French Broad River, on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate. The sound of the water, a shady spot, is pure joy. And usually we fall asleep a little.
Let's have a picnic!
Things that absolutely cannot miss at my ideal picnic: mortadella sandwiches, music, nice but comfortable clothes, watermelon and other fresh fruits, cheeses, a good book, tart with strawberry jam, chips, fresh lemonade and many colored napkins and pillows.
This is my submission to Let's have a Picnic theme! I Remember so many times I went to the beach with my family in Brazil, We spent all day there! So we had to bring some food to our "Beach Picnic". Sandwiches, fruits, cake and a big bottle of water were essentials, but we always asked my mom if she could buy a popsicle, and a starch biscuit called Biscoito Globo for us.I Can hear the loud voice of the vendor in my memories, "Who want a popsicle! look at the biscuit! "OLHA O BISCOITO!!!!!!"
This drawing is inspired by my love of vintage tablecloths and napkins. I adore the texture of the fabrics and the printed or embroidered flowers or foods or monograms they have embellishing them. To me the perfect picnic blanket is a vintage tablecloth. Hopefully my picnic blanket and flowers show that here in this drawing. Picnics to me are fun, sweet and playful, I hope that translates as well. Drawn using the procreate app.
Submission for design challenge Let's have a picnic!
Poppy pig and her friends are enjoying this lovely feast in the beautiful weather. I included all my favourites such as bread, pickles, cherries, and many other tasty bites!
The event happened just as illustrated; however, it should be noted that it was all our fault! Zinger was accustomed to receiving some kibble at 9:30 p.m. every day for his acid reflux. That particular day, we ate very late and missed his usual treat. In typical Zinger fashion, he decided to quietly help himself to the barest of essentials, just to stay alive! And poor Officer Mike and Spike, who were wrongly denied the chance to steal their own tortillas (not that they would do so)!
