Seemingly simple, it's the quality of the bread makes this recipe "sing" so buy the best egg bread available. My daughter Lucie demands that I make this dish for her every Saturday morning.

This is an illustration to a pancake recipe my best friend's mom makes. It was an assignment for a class I'm taking at the Maryland Institute College of Art, called "Illustrating the Edible." I had to illustrate a homemade recipe that I have fond memories of making and/or tasting. When I was little Lynn would always make my friend and I these pancakes, and I remember they were so delicious we would try to see how many we could eat in one sitting. I think the most I managed to eat was 5... but I don't exactly remember.
A sugary tasty treat, one of my favourites as a child. This recipe has a bit of extra goodness with the addition of maple syrup.
