Beans and Rice...Simple but sooo good! by Nip Rogers
Lake Placid, New York, USI met and marriage my wife over 7 years ago and life has never been better for both of us. My favorite meal that she learned from her mother is her Beans on Rice recipe. The big secret that makes it taste so good is the coconut milk that she adds right at the end. Yum, so good, I always go back for seconds!

Brazilian Black Beans by Gina M. Brown
Williamsburg, Michigan, USBeans Around The World.
When I was a teenager, my best friend's father flew to Brazil and returned with a Brazilian good luck charm for my charm bracelet. Since that time, I have enjoyed making and eating Brazilian black beans. And I have been fascinated with certain similar shapes that appear in Brazilian imagery, both natural and man-made. I hope you agree!

A celebration of the British baked bean by Kate Cooke
Southampton, Hampshire, GBThe British love their Baked beans and I wanted to celebrate them in all their glory. Their is one particular brand that leads the way in baked bean manufacturing in the UK and has done since 1886. Their factory in Wigan has been producing cans of baked beans since 1946 and is now the largest factory in Europe.
We Brits can't get enough of them- on toast, in a baked potato, or just straight from the can. If ever I want something warm, filling and comforting I reach for the beans, its a delicious, nostalgic big hug in a tin, it even comes with the royal seal of approval!

Build a Bean Bowl! by Rachel Schmiedel
DE, USIn our home, we love to build bean bowls served in a hand glazed pottery bowl. Start with picking a grain such as quinoa or rice and add a half-cup of cooked or canned beans of your choice, toss some leafy greens on, add sautéed onions, shredded carrot, avocado and mushrooms, then top with feta cheese and pumpkin seeds. Next add your choice of seasonings and dressing such as fresh lemon vinaigrette, balsamic vinegar, ginger miso or chipotle ranch, and dive in! Try out different toppings and combinations each time for new fun flavors. We never tire of these bowls!

BEANS are Healthy for You! by Rachel Schmiedel
DE, USA few years ago when wanting to add more fiber and protein to my diet, I came across the humble bean. Packed with nutrients, they adds tons of nutrition to a meal, and are quite satisfying when well seasoned or paired with complimentary foods. When my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, we learned that complex carbohydrates in beans help stabilize blood sugar because they take longer to digest. Now we eat beans at least 3-5 times a week!
