I love things that are really seasonal. You have to wait until their time has come and then savor them while they last. One of those things are elderflowers. Right now on every walk I inspect the elder trees I pass to see how much longer I have to wait until the blossoms are open. I love their smell and aroma and I love the direct connection to the world around me, that gives so graciously. One of the first things I am going to make is an elderflower cordial. It is super refreshing and a wonderful treat of late spring that all of us love.

My family is from Hyderabad, so we have our own twists to make our food, and of course, no one makes it better than my mom! Even though there are a lot of ingredients, it's a dish that is worth making, it brings together family, friends, and loved ones in a comforting way.
Easy, crunchy and tangy sandwich for a happy Sunday evening. Swop out the bread for sturdy leaves for less carbs (not on a sunday?), increase yogourt / decrease mayo in the Tartare sauce if you prefer tangy to creamy (I do!)
These beans are revolutionary. A crunchy, verdant, salty triad of singing sensory cues. Essentially, the pistachios, lemon, parm get chopped up and mixed together to make a nice pistachio pesto. To that, add a healthy glurg of olive oil and some blanched green beans. Serve with a baguette to sop up the heaven puddle at the bottom of the bowl. And voila!
