Some non-intimidating sketchbook subject matter to start off the new year. My boys eat pickles and peanut butter right out of the jar. Many of our favourite foods apparently start with the letter "p"!
When I peruse the aisles of my local antique malls I find myself attracted to two things. Artfully displayed kitchenware and linens draw me into booths with their colors, their repetition, and their textures.
I wanted to recreate that feeling in a pattern that could be used in the kitchen. My goal was to create a pattern that would feel equally at home as a dish towel, a kitchen tablecloth, an apron, or endpapers of a cookbook.
I illustrated only the ingredients
(the proportions are the part of my secret).
The recipe requires blended dry ingredients mixed with warm liquids:
- coconut oil
- coconut milk
- desiccated coconut
- dark chocolate (melted)
After cooling down, cut into pieces and enjoy.
(btw. You can add some demerara cane sugar or stewia leaves if You like, it's optional).
