Smodde & Knieperkes is an old recipe from the "Achterhoek", Gelderland. On the background you can see my hometown "Zutphen". The little boat in the river "IJssel" has the flag of my town. The kite in the sky is a symbole for the "Gelderse Roos" (Guelder Rose) from the Gelders lanschap (Guelder Trust).

This is a wonderful local recipe for an amaaazingly delicious desert ( I was helped by two bees :)

Yes, I do want to say something, I was so busy lately, that I totally forgot to enter my fig recipe....but I love fresh figs and I love cupcakes, so I still do want to share my reipe!

I wanted this illustration to reflect the star ingredient, figs, in color and mood. Its a fun recipe and I wanted the image to reflect that.

It's an easy family recipe =)

I've never try this recipee for real, because difficult to find fig in Indonesia..but i am very excited when i draw this cute recipee...
