I love making homemade pizza because I can put any toppings I like. Usually to keep it simple, I would do tomato base and maximum 3 ingredients the most, but you can definitely put as many toppings as you want. One day I tried adding corn as topping because it’s been in the fridge for some time. Surprisingly it tasted good. What is your favourite topping in a pizza?
Pie-in-the-sky - this is our family go-to recipe for a delicious Quiche. Which is basically a savory, french custard pie with veggies. Right?! This quiche is a surefire way to make our boys eat their veggies. Only problem now is that one pie isn‘t enough anymore as the kids are growing prodigiously. And with that their appetites grew, too!
Named for the island of Capri, this classic Italian salad is as summery as it gets. Juicy ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil leaves are the three main ingredients. Thinly sliced red onions are a wonderful addition, but optional. Layer on a platter, sprinkle with salt & pepper, drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar on top. Serve with crusty bread.
In the summer, I love to eat salads of all kinds. This pasta salad is really just a salad with pasta on it instead of a traditional mayo or vinaigrette-based pasta salad. Sometimes I make my own dressing and croutons, and sometimes they're store-bought. Anyway you toss it, this salad's a summertime specialty!
