Hot Spiced Cider

Over fall and winter break, when my friends come home from school for the holidays, we have a tradition: we meet up, get cozy around a big backyard campfire, and fill each other in on everything we've missed since the last time we were all together. A big pot of hot apple cider is a staple for those nights. This recipe is really easy to throw together (in the slow cooker, on the stove, or over the fire), and it's the perfect thing to warm up a whole crowd of chilly and exhausted college students. Great as is, or spiked with a little bourbon to keep you and your whole crew warm!
