Gulaman or seaweed-based jelly is one of the most elegant-looking desserts in a Filipino fiesta. It is usually served in fiestas making the buffet festive and colorful. In this recipe, I replaced the common tropical fruit slices with strawberries, which is a jewelled fruit in the Philippine plains. I added to make the Gulaman more luxurious together with my cousin Divina's secret ingredient of powedered milk that makes it heavenly. With fruit ingredient from the higher lands, recipe shared by a spiritually named relative and milk brand with celestial trademark, heaven is just a dessert away.
