Desserts in general were always my favorite part of a meal (still are!), and as a kid it was an awesome night when we had a homemade fruit tart and a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert!

This illustration is meant to evoke the experience of synaesthesia, a joining or merging of senses that aren't normally connected, a harmless and slightly odd neurological phenomenon I've experienced since I was a kid (when the number 8 was always purple, the too-loud radio made it hard to see, and squares were boys.)

Sometimes I feel flavors as colors: sweet things are pastel soft, sour flavors are neon bright. Apricot streusel bars give you a little bit of both sweet and sour -- enjoy the rainbow!
