Around the holidays, Albondigas are a tradition in my household. It is a colorful dish with the brilliant reds of peppers, tomatoes and the lush greens of spinach and cilantro. It is a pretty healthy and hearty meal. The first time we heard the song Alejandro, by the amazing Lady Gaga, in unison my husband and I began singing, “Ale-Alejandro Ale-Alejandro, Albonidi-Ga-Ga’s ,Albondi-Ga-Ga’s.” I was singing into a wooden spoon and he was just singing to the pot of Albondigas we were making at the time. It was fate! We love to sing and dance while we cook. We think it makes the food taste better. My sketch is a representation of Lady GaGa, and is just my tribute to her and the wonderful music she makes for us, her fans, music lovers, and little monsters alike. If Our Lady of GaGa can look good in meat, she can look good in a Quinoa and Meatball Cape.
