Purple Hibiscus is a perennial tree or shrub filled with flower petals that are large, bright and delicate. When the petals are dried, they can be used to make hot or iced teas. The petals contains antioxidant-like substances called anthocyanins and is known for it’s medicinal properties. In the summer and autumn. Hibiscus attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. They are one of my favorite flowers in our garden.
