During Tet - the Vietnamese new year, every family has a tray that contains different kinds of traditional sweets to treat the guests. The common sweets are dried fruits, Sugar-coated fruits and vegetables (lotus root, lotus seed, ginger, coconut, tomato, banana,etc), dried seeds (sunflower seed, watermelon seed, pumpkin seed), nuts (pistachio, cashew) and candies (soursop candy, tamarind candy, banana candy, chocolate, Jelly beans, corn candy).
