Bio:

Laura Gomarti. Artist + Illustrator. I was born in Guadalajara in 1974 and grew up surrounded by artistic influences from the place where I live with my parents, family, friends and the culture around me.
I studied Industrial Design at the University of Guadalajara. at the same time I start painting fruits, furniture and craft boxes for export, painting and decorating ceramic pieces, then continuing to paint mainly in oil and acrylic. I worked for several years as a graphic designer and illustrator specialized in gender issues for the woman institute of Guadalajara.

In 2017 I left my job where I was 8 years old and I decided, despite what many told me not to do, to live off art, now I am full time doing what makes me smile, love and meet beautiful people.

I am an admirer and lover of nature, an observer of birds and the natural landscape, I love cook and my work and illustrations always have something of nature, the technique I use is watercolor, ink, coloring pencils and acrylics on paper.
