Bio:

FOOOOOD!
food is.... nope wait, has not always been my passion, but from 8 years ago is what I think the most. Actually the only moment when I'm not thinking about food is when I'm on my aerial hoop!

Began as a sketcher, then pastry, cook, painter and pastry again and always dancing through the different jobs, I now finally found my way: PAINTING FOOD!!!
Attending an illustration course, I felt in love in watercolors and this combo between food and watercolor is driving me crazy in such a positive way

So that's my past but I'm working on for a future as a food illustrator
I'm just at the beginning but I see I'm on the right direction!

Tiramisù the most famous and copied Italian dessert
terribly simple and terribly delicious
two (but if you are really brave also three) layers of savoiardi biscuits soaked in coffee covered with a sweet cream cheese blanket made of mascarpone, eggs and lightly flavored with marsala (because everything is better gently tipsy)
everything sprinkled with cocoa powder to remember that life it's also bitter

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I think you never ate a risotto so good

Violets are one of the most known as edible flower within roses but I'm pretty sure you never tried in a risotto, with a cream made of pinoli, leek, cardamomo seeds and.. violets!
strange combination of ingredients but very easy recipe, you just need to remember to soak pinoli the night before!

insalata di rinforzo by HandMad373

Typical Christmas dish on Naples' tables!
Actually the celebrations are set on Christmas Eve at dinner and the menu is based on fried stuff, like fish and vegetables
this recipe came from ancient, it calls insalata di rinforzo like "support salad" because was used to support poor tables' food
but nowadays it's more a tradition " pe' devozio' "
and it's also typical Christmas lunch because when it's served usually pass hands by hands and nobody touch so ends out that you also find it the day after!!!

It's basically steamed cauliflower, pickles and papaccelle: small red peppers
Personally I really like but it's very funny to see this big bowl going around the table and return at the beginning as it started!!!

This is my mom recipe, probably the only one she gave me!
Not because she's mean, but because she doesn't really love cooking.
In fact calling it recipe is a big word!
It's more about putting this ingredients together till having a nice dough, unless add more flour or milk
But anyway this was my first (failed) cooking experiment and also my final arrive
Create something based on what there's in the pantry, always with a smile on, and adding love as secret ingredient
I watched her making this cake so many times.. but never in the same way and never failed! and always asking how is that possible?
The perfume of this cake, a mix of apple sugar and cinnamon, bring me direct at childhood when dad, just back home, were turning the face of a heavy working day into a happy smile just smelling in the air that the apple cake was in the oven!
Even if I worked in many pastry shops, this one is the only cake I'm not able to reply because every time I try to add some perfections in it and that end just to ruin it!
If you'll try to make it, you'll ends out with a really good cake but believe me: nothing compared with my mum's one!!
