Picnic! This is my dream picnic—one that involves a bit of romance, a bit of scenery and a lot of wine and cheese (and I wouldn't mind if it were also in France). Don't mind les oiseaux—they are not there to steal food, only to make commentary!
Edible Flowers—Real flowers that decorate your cakes and are safe to eat? It's so easy with this simple candy process. This lavender cupcake recipe is the perfect way to welcome spring into your home!
Beans Around the World. The area known as "The Southwest" is home to the coolest flora and fauna around. And, wow! those amazing skies. But, it's hot, so you will definitely want a tasty lunch that doesn't melt you. To the rescue: black bean and corn salad! All the quintessential southwestern ingredients in a delicious combination. You can even add cheese if you prefer, but do not forget the avocado!
Global Cuisine: "Full English", "English Breakfast", "Fry Up"—whatever you decide to call it, this is a classic UK dish. Keeping me warm and full all day, this is my favorite thing to indulge in when traveling in England.
Fave Memory: The first year I started to love Thanksgiving! The setting: my cousin's house (first year hosting); the dinner: a simple turkey, mash, and sweet potato; the dessert: ALL the pie options, a cake, cookies and ice cream. Now THAT is a Thanksgiving made for a sweet tooth (me)!
Why wait all day for cake when you can start your special day with birthday pancakes?! Starting with a traditional pancake recipe, add cake mix for a yummy twist. And then top it off with frosting. Microwave the frosting for 10 seconds and stir to make a delicious drizzle on top, and don't forget to add more sprinkles!
