Hello! I'm a freelance illustrator who graduated from School of Applied Art & Design. Currently I reside on wonderful Istrian peninsula in Croatia, where I live with my hubby and our two daughters. When I was a little girl my fave time of the day was listening to my mother's bedtime stories. It was an enchanting and magical experience for me. I also loved watching Disney animated movies which I believe gave my imagination a sense of direction in character development and a passion to draw, to create and to explore. Therefore, I am greatly inspired by my childhood memories- a feeling I remember, or a specific fragnance in the air, certain colours...
I love experimenting in my work, I love playing with textures and patterns to get that extra 'depth'. In conclusion- I'm inspired by anything that yearns to tell it's story to the world!
I believe that, as an artist, you never stop growing and maturing so it's essential to always invest in yourself and to cultivate your talent. That being said, I love taking new and challenging courses which cover different markets. It helps honing my skills and they keep me on my toes, reminding me there's always more to learn and I always have so much more inside me I am able to give through my work.

Here's a really yummy recipe by my nonna. The ingredients vary depending on location Istria/Dalmatia and you can always add that one extra special touch yourself :) I decided to use our Istrian earthen/coastal tones in coloures sice we use them mainly to paint our ceramic dish. Hope you enjoy this yummy dish as much as I do! :)
Hm... I think I've chosen this recipe 'cos in my 'wird' head I have instantly had a funny Xmas story twist on the whole deal of how Santa magically manages to slide down the chimney every year when I read the healthy effects this smoothie has over at YouBeauty.com :D So my thought was -aaahhh, he might have a special magical recipe he uses...:D
This is a great way to get my daughter eat a bunch of different fruit making it also a great vitamin/protein combo. She loves the coloures and the fact everything's pricked on a chopstick...an awesome snack to take on the beach with us, since summer time we do spend every day on it :D
This is an old recipe for jam made of fresh figs and I love jams! I must say this was really hard for me, choosing the recipes for the contest cos I'm from a mediterranian country, there's figs EVERYWHERE! The 1st thing you do summer time is wake up, go outside the house and eat 4-5 fresh figs straight from the fig tree :) I really hope you like this one and the lettering is fine to read.
This recipe is made of dry figs. It is a traditional recipe originally from Dalmatia (where dalmatians are from :)), Croatia and it's yummy! It's passed on from generation to generation and I'm privileged my friend shared it with me! Hope you like it!
