As an Ohioan and a self-described freezebaby, instant cocoa is my number one coping mechanism for those i'm-wearing-three-pairs-of-socks-and-I-still-can't-feel-my-toes midwestern winters. (Can you tell I hate the cold?) In any case, I thought I would share some of my favorite cocoa concoctions in time for the season. Stay warm!

Also known as 'Depression Era' cake, this recipe calls for no milk or eggs. Flavor is not lacking in this deliciously classic chocolate cake recipe! My Nana still makes one for each family birthday. We've always served it with 'whip' - but I'm sure adding your favorite frosting would be just as delicious!
I created this right after watching Salli's Webinar! I wanted to try a simple recipe to get started. It really fun to do and maybe a bit addicting so now I'm on the lookout for more brownie recipes because next to lemon squares, nothing beats a brownie to brighten up my day!
