Bio:

Sheila Keegan is a Filipino American children's book illustrator.

She enjoys including kids from all ethnicities and backgrounds in her illustrations. Growing up in a multi-racial family, Sheila is excited to illustrate diversity and different cultures. She hopes children will see themselves and feel empowered.

Sheila works from sketches, drawings, value and color studies, to mixed media collage, and photoshop. She loves creating with mixed media and giving new life to collaged bits of painted and found papers.

Sheila's illustrations have appeared in: They Draw and Travel: Book of Favorite Places, Uppercase Magazine, and in galleries in the U.S. and Asia. She is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design and is an active member of SCBWI. Recently, she was awarded the SCBWI NEOhio Underrepresented Diverse Voices Portfolio Award.

Sheila is also an avid traveler and gardener. She lives with her family in Cleveland, Ohio.
