Bio:

Maria Loor is a designer+illustrator living and creating in LA with her partner, two crazy aussies and two serious cats. She was born and grew up in Ecuador, raised with Colombian traditions and delicious food. Her career started in advertising, graduated from RISD with honors and worked in New York as designer. In 1996 she came back to Ecuador where she started her design studio and lead the Graphic Design department at Universidad Casa Grande. She lived in Quito, Buenos Aires, London and Miami where she designed, illustrated and exhibited her paintings, while raising her two boys. Her illustration and design work has been showcased by Taschen . When she is not designing or drawing... she is running, reading, gardening or eating the amazing vegetarian dishes her partner cooks for her.
